Blood is the lifeline of the body. What is it made up of?
Blood is an essential part of our body that consists of a fluid called plasma which contains the two types of blood cells: erythrocytes commonly called red blood cells and leucocytes consist of our immune system or white blood cells.
The red blood cells function is to deliver essential substances like nutrients and oxygen, minerals and vitamins to the cells and also transport carbon dioxide and other waste products away from the cells, to the lungs, kidneys, and digestive system; from there they are removed from the body
Our body has billions of cells that need regular supply of fuel and oxygen to function. Blood meets these requirements and ensures proper functioning of cells therefore ensuring our body keeps in good health. It might interest you that an average adult human body has about five liters of blood. Hemaview™ enables your practitioner to view the health of these cells.
